The wealthiest Americans will spend more on luxury items in 2010 than they did last year, a new survey finds, but high-end retailers wishing to capitalize on the surge must adapt to a new type of luxury consumer, one who is family oriented and shops when happy–instead of as a means of attaining happiness.

Man jewellery has been around in history as recorded by the many paintings and carvings seen in the palace walls. During those times, it was a trend to wear jewellery as part of flashing their status in the society. However, as time progressed, the use of jewellery for men has declined as men associated jewellery with the female race. Man jewellery only found its way back to the mainstream in the past 30 years and this trend seems like something that will stay for a very long time.

When men’s jewellery first entered the contemporary times, only two types of jewellery were acknowledged to be truly of the male fashion and these are the watches and cufflinks. For the most obvious reasons, men were likely to wear a watch to work, school or play and cufflinks were only used at weddings and funeral. Now, men’s jewellery even goes beyond the traditional types of jewellery and features a whole lot more of choices as to rings and necklaces. The younger population find wearing jewellery as ultimate status symbols and thus creating a new and bigger trend for men wearing jewellery. Because of the trend that these youngsters create, more designers are venturing into designing extremely flashy blings that will generally attract attention from the people around the wearer. These flashy and chunky blings were initially worn by the black community through its rappers and music stars but now are being adapted by common people already.

Some men love to show the world their wealth by wearing several heavy gold chains even if these are the most valuable pieces of jewellery that they own. Stud earrings are also very popular with men and having one is considered to be cool. Nowadays, many sports person often wear more than one stud earring in both ears.

Man jewellery is always chunkier, larger and bulkier than ladies jewellery but it equals it in the different designs that are being introduced today. Most jewellery now comes with diamonds and other precious gemstones. The recent trend in the rise of popularity for men’s jewellery shows that men are more in touched with their feminine side. Jewellery when worn by men really does a good job in softening a man’s features. Even modest females have found a liking to wearing jewellery designed for men.

Purchasing jewellery made for men can be done in your local neighborhood jewellery shops or in online stores like Homme Rock, which provides a wide selection of well-designed jewellery. Getting jewellery in any of these shops does assure great quality and one will even have access to the many great collections of designs from the different specialized designers. Prices for men’s jewellery also do not make such a significant difference when getting one online or in actual jewellery shops. It has even been proven that most online shops like Homme Rock gives out the best deals in men’s fashionable jewellery. Believe it or not, Pawn shops. People are broke and are selling their finest of fine jewelry to pawn shops. Look around in your area, believe it or not you might be very surprised at what you might find for less then half the cost. Know one will know but you. Get it cleaned and put it in a fancy box.
